What Is Your Passion

When we speak of passion-based ministries, people sometimes wonder how to identify that sort of calling in themselves and others. Here are some questions to propel you into thought and prayer:

  • What breaks your heart? You simply cannot bear to see people hurting in this way or for this work to be undone.
  • What rings your bell? When you are engaged in this kind of work, you are exhilarated and ev en if you are dead tired, engagement in this area pumps you up.
  • What fills your mouth? You talk about it andcan't stop.
  • What occupies your thoughts? You have lots of ideas floating around and you are preoccupied with this one issue.
  • what warms your spirit? You have a sense of inner reward when you engage in this ministry.
  • What draws you to prayer?
  • What can you picture yourself doing for the rest of your life?
Begin to work on these in a journal and something will emerge that will look a lot like a passion-based ministry.
